About The Artist

A little bit about me and how I got here.

Hi, my name is Frankie Masters-Jackson. I was born in Fort Worth, TX.  My first experience with art was in high school in art class, to my surprise I carved a head of a man that look like a Greek god, my art teacher was impressed so he placed the sculpture in the school glass cabinet to be displayed. You would've thought I would've pursued an art career after that experience but I went on to work in different fields of work until I sustain injuries to the left side of my body I was no longer able to handle the fast pace and stresses that the work force offers.

It was in 2017 that I realized I needed to find something that I wanted to do that was satisfying and made me happy, something less stressful on my body, mind and soul.  So I began pondering on what that could be when all of a sudden I heard in my spirit the word paint, immediately I knew it was God and I leaped up off the couch ran to an art supply store and bought paint brushes, paint and canvases.

So I started painting with oil, only to learn I was highly allergic to oil paint and would break out in hives. So I discovered acrylic paint which I tolerated a lot better and was fascinated by the quick drying effect of acrylic paint.  With the acrylic paint I can do a variety of styles of  painting, fluid pouring art, abstract art, African art. I love to express the African culture on canvas.  Life has been challenging on planet earth but I finally found something I love to do and art makes me feel free in my soul and it's satisfying when others discover your work and love it.
